Chapter one

It’s a love story

ORIGIN

Andrew saw Angel in a comedy music video in 2011, and developed a crush. He followed her on Twitter and Facebook but never sent her a message or made a move. Twelve years later, they matched on a dating app!

IT’S A LOVE STORY

Their first date was on a wine farm and what was meant to be a quick lunch turned into seven hours of laughter and conversation that they never wanted to end.

CHAMPIONS

Their second date was to watch the Rugby World Cup quarter-final. After the Springboks knocked out France, Andrew celebrated with a French kiss. Their first kiss! The rest ends with a proposal, which brings us to now.

The main event

The wedding

An outdoor celebration beneath the Elgin sky, with good food, live music, dancing and the people we love most.

Arrival

Welcome drinks on the lawn. Please arrive by 2:30 PM at the latest.

3:00 PM

The ceremony

The aisle, the dress, the vows and every happy tear we have been saving.

4:00 PM

The celebration

Food stations, mingling, a live band, speeches, cake and a DJ until midnight.

12:00 PM

The morning after

A casual farewell lunch at Hickville Smokehouse on Sunday.

Travel & stay

Getting there

South Hill is around 67 km from Cape Town. Allow at least an hour, plus a little extra for Saturday traffic.

Staying over

We recommend staying in Elgin or Grabouw. It is a busy season, so please book as soon as you can.

Getting home

Parking is available, but a pre-booked shuttle or designated driver is the easiest way to enjoy the night fully.

Dress fabulously

What to wear

Formal garden attire in colourful summer tones. Sequins are absolutely welcome. Bring a warm layer for later, and please leave the white dress to Angel.
